A blockchain is a shared transaction record maintained under a network protocol. Participants follow rules for validating transactions. Some networks use proof of work, others use proof of stake. Neither design eliminates software bugs, governance disputes or economic attacks.
A token is not automatically a share of the network business. Ask what rights the token actually confers, who controls issuance and whether useful network activity creates demand for the token. Bitcoin is not a company share. Token price can rise or fall independently of useful technology. Transaction fees and settlement times vary, and transactions may be irreversible.
